So...you have been transported to a desert island, & the only things you can have to keep you company, and entertained are 5 horses, from past or present!

Which ones would you take?

My 3, naturally...

For the other two... Does fictional count? 'cos if so, I'm having Shadowfax and Binky!

And yes, that's 4 grey-mostly-greys and a piebald - but there's no mud on a desert island so that's fiiiine :D

And if we're not allowed our own... Talisman from the Oxus series, Bramble from the Jinny series aaand Bill the pony from LOTR :D

My old loan pony and a friends youngster because they are game for anything! Think the youngster would climb a palm tree if you dared him :p
 
Would have to include H even though he's often a knobber!

Foxy, my old loan pony he was cheeky but bombproof and good at jumping when he wasn't running out!

My own, the 3 I look after, and Armas! (Just so I could admire him!)
And if I could sneak a small one in hand luggage, the dancing Shetland, to entertain us all!
 
My old old mare Betty, my recently departed mare Connie, my current gelding Mickey, my favourite pony as a child Henry and probably Milton... So that's a chestnut, Skewbald, dark bay & two greys... Nice mix to keep things interesting!!
 
Heh, fun. My 4, because Blond is a comedy act, Orange I can ride, Bug is still a work in progress so she'd keep me busy, and LP because the challenges of keeping her sound and sane in any new environment would mean I was never bored - and she loves the sea! I'd also want Sleipnir from Norse mythology, because who wouldn't want the octopedal son of the god of mischief?!

(And Binky's been claimed ;-))
 
I'd have to take our girlies Chloe and Amber, our old boy DJ and OH's old eventer Joyce. But then I'd like to take Crystal, 12.2hh, Welsh, that I rode as a child at the riding school, she was a monkey but I loved her!

Famous horses, I'd quite like Sprinter Sacre! :D
 
My lad Loki, the Highland pony I used to ride Bracken, another Highland pony from that same yard Rowan, and one of the horses at my last yard because she was lovely :) I've got one left but I can't think of any off the top of my head :)

I'd take my chubster mare - no grass on a desert island :)
Hidalgo - coped well in arid desert environment
desert orchid - named after a desert
and a couple of mules, which according to the 'Daily Mail' are more intelligent than horses so should be better company.
However if I could get Bruce Springsteen instead I would happily swop the 5 equines!

My 2 I have now, Mia a 5yr old arab and vin a 16.1 TB

My old TB dan cos riding him is like coming home

a 15.2 tb type called izzie that I had years ago that bucked like stink but was very much 'my' horse

Then it would be a hard call between 2 cobs, one called ohno ( as in oh no its ohno ) and gravy a little bay. I think ohno would win for been a sensitive boy you just wanted to mother
 
I'd take my boy (of course), mistral hojris, the humdinger, my first fave pony may, and finally Florence the Shetland to keep my boy company.
