Hi, I am currently studying graphic communication and advanced higher level and for our project we are to design something to solve a real life problem. I feel wth my interest in horses, it would be a good idea to design somethings for either the horse, stable or rider. I was thinking either a prosthetic leg or a boot that combats a specific problem but I am open to any ideas because both my ideas are a bit stupid. Thank you if you have managed to read this far and any ideas are welcome!

While plaiting, I often find myself musing on how to make it easier and quicker (as well as neater). Could you for example design a long piece of slightly bendy plastic with little teeth (imagine a rake head) that you lay on the top of the neck, and the teeth separate the mane into bunches (the number of plaits times 3) and automatically pops a plaiting band on each? Or something that takes each bunch (one bunch= one plait), gathers it at the top, pulls through and - te-da! - a plait is formed?

Might go back to the day job and resign myself to doing it the slow way...

Not particularly horsey but id like a fabric hat with a pocket for a mobile phone and the top of the hat with solar pv so I could go to a horse show or do the gardening with my phone charging on my head.

I used to have a thing that did the dividing, it didn't put the plaiting band on though - I think it was called a plaiting comb, got it from my local tack shop in their bucket of 'odd stuff'.

I would like to be able to ride out with a camera attached to me and be able to click a button without having to get my phone or a camera out. My pony is well behaved so will let me do this but I would rather have less faffing and not miss something.

I also would like to be able to detach my water trough from its connection to the water supply so I can tip it over easily and reattach it.

Finally I would like a bridle which wicks away moisture from the skin oh and a numnah that does so too.
