My sister has a 3 yr old GHD bitch she desp needs to re-home due to the dog growling at the children.She has been fine up till now and my sister just cant risk it with 4 young kids at home.
She is a clingy/nervous GHD,loves the pet cat,tho hates vets and kennels.
RSPCA says have dog PTS,tho my sis cant agree to this as shes not a vicious dog in general.

Do you mean a GSD?

Contact GSD rescue as mentioned should be your first port of call.

However the dog clearly needs a lot of work and if it cannot go to GSD Rescue, a professional or experienced home then I would agree with the RSPCA, sorry.
She could end up anywhere, her problems could get worse, someone could use her as a breeder and pass on this trait to potentially eight more dogs.

Aggression towards children is never acceptable, sorry especially in light of recent events.
I hope she finds someone and somewhere who can help her.

. Bitch has been spayed so no good 4 breeding and agree its very tricky re-homing when the dog has been agressive. The RSPCA are too quick to have dogs PTS as they have no room.Ive been a vet nurse in the past and know how they work.They DO ALOT of good work,but they just wont take prob dogs in!!! She is a locely dog and it would be a grt shame to have her destroyed,heart-breaking for my sister.

OK, good luck, there is a list of regional people on their website. Did she come from a breeder and has she contacted them?

I am all for rehabilitating dogs and as you can see from my sig I am a fan of the breed but am a bit iffy about aggression around children in any dog.

Wish I was closer!
