DESP Seeking split reins with rubber grip??????

as above really!!! Think these could be the answer to my breaking problems on the xc but really struggling to find them,,,,, and if i do they are only lined on the inside!!!( i really really need them on both sides please)!!!!

any help at all much appreciated!!!

I always thought split reins were no different to using roundings? I thought they were devised more for the showing fraternity?

thanks loads for that it will have to be pelham roundings as the split reins are like hens teeth!!!!(with full rubber anyway) It was on the advice of a trainer that i get split reins but im pretty sure they are both much of a much!!!!!

A decent saddler should make them up for you! I know we have in the past been able to get Equiport to make up stuff but they are pricey. One saddler worth contacting is Joust Saddlery in Ireland. They will make bespoke stuff and don't be fooled by their cheap prices the stuff is super quality!

brilliant thanx for that think if i get on with the roundings i will look into doing that, sort of prefer the idea of the flexibility a bit more with the split reins,, do they work ok with martigales????

Contact Julia at Garratts - I bet she will cover some split reins in rubber for you. They didn't have an off the peg drop noseband when I was in there the other day but she offered to make me one.

Julia Garratt (well it was Bill RIP) made my split reins for me many years ago for my 14hh WHP. In fact it might even have been for the 13hh WHP now that is scary!
