There are no tack shops near where I live but I have followed up advice to contact riding schools and equine charities and as a result of this things are looking more positive and likely to be resolved very shortly. Thank you for your response.

I have had a couple of pms from the op - yes it is frustrating that not all questions have been answered for all to see - not everyone wants all details to be in the public forum & - I misjudged the op & I have apologised to them - I am assuming that they may of been overwhelmed by the posts & pms they have received - not all posts need replying to - they seem genuine to me & they are dealing with things in their own way - I'm sure that everyone who as sent a pm will get 1 back x

Thank you so much for that....couldn't have put it better myself, I'm going to sit here and answer every single person within the next 24 hours....PLEASE understand that posts and messages are coming at me faster than I can answer them !!!

This is person is quite clearly very upset his/her situation and I agree that there is some bullying going on here, there is quite obviously a very valid reason why the lady dosen't want to reveal too many details and as she's said she is trying to answer all the posts and messages, there are currently 98 replies to this post so she may have more important things to do, like trying to find a solution to her problems and acting on advice given. Sometimes these forums do more harm than good. So have some compassion she's already said she's working her way through messages.

Can't really offer any more advice & it looks like you've had some great offers of help already :-) I would have loved to have helped you out too, but am down in Buckinghamshire so too far away.

I hope that you find your mare a suitable home very soon. I wish you a speedy recovery & hope that you feel better soon.

Good luck & best wishes.

Yes - and remember not everyone is comfortable using forums or even a computer - potentially even less so if they're unwell. Plenty work or for other reasons don't have access to the computer all day. So while everyone else is busy replying and avidly watching, that doesn't necessarily mean she can respond any quicker. The thread's only been up a day...

I hope it all works out for you and your horse. i am sorry if I am one that has come across as harsh, maybe once you are sorted and have a read throuh again, you may be able to see the lack of information was making it frustrating to read. Good luck, and i hope all goes well.

Hope you get it sorted op. I loan my pony out to a riding school and it has worked out really well - just wanted to tell you something positive if that's an option you are looking at.

Here Here! I would be at my wits end if I was in the OP's position faced with parting with any of mine :(
The situation does sound much more hopeful and promising so I really hope that you find an easy solution for you and your mare and a speedy recovery xx

Sorry OP I thought you said you were near Beaverhall, not sure if there are two Beaverhalls but the one I was thinking of is in Staffordshire.
Hope things are looking more positive for you now.

OP I'm in Surrey with my own ill health to deal with so can't help you, I wish you all the best though, it's a horrible situation to be in and I am sending you lots of vibes xx

To everyone else who has been frustrated by the OP, from the little she has said it sounds like things (at the time of posting) where very difficult and stressful, and whilst her situation hopefully looks like it is being resolved it is not the end of her problems. We don't know her and I'm sure we all know someone who has come across badly when under a lot of pressure. I would hope that people may remember this and make an allowance for her?

My Granny always said if you can't say something nice .... say nothing at all. I think there are a few people on this thread that should take heed of that advise! OP. I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I can only imagine being ill must be worrying, preparing for an op must be terrifying, being unable to work and keep money coming in must be depressing, being behind with your rent must worry you senseless and having to part with your beautiful mare heart breaking. Some of the comments on here must have felt like the final straw! Yes you are right. If you had given too much information the owners of this forum would have taken it you were trying to get some free advertising and deleted the thread. I have read all the posts and it looks very positive. I am in the south so little help but in the event nothing is sorted in time, pm me and I will remotely sort something out! Not everyone in the horsey world is nasty! Big hugs and keep smiling. Life is full of peaks and troughs xx

There is something that so many forget - the gift of kindness - to hear a persons problems and not judge, but help. It seems to be a rare gift these days. As Mark Twain said..."Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear." We would all do well to remember that at some stage in the future we could be needing some of this!
