Does anyone know of any - decent quality hay for sale (or even haylage) which isn't an extortionate price. Thanks.
what would you call extortionate for large bales of haylage?
Who in Royston has any left?
No idea who it was. They were delivering into a yard and we stopped and asked.
I have had a few small hay bales from Chestnut Horse Feeds, good hay. Think they were about £5 & I think they came down a bit if you had a few more. I know they deliver over that way as a friend of mine has feed near newmarket. But I think they only deliver with feed orders?
We get the work and livery hay from Rolly Fenwick (sp) but be warned we are going to have our livery hay put up to £6.50 for flat 10's, from £5 when we get to the new stuff. Round here it is getting very expensive - you could always do what happened at Tatts last year and go and help yourself (obviously joking, those naughty trainers got caught for that!).
£45 per bale.
What quantity are you looking for and I'll ask the guy I get mine from. He charges £35 per bale delivered I think - I collect mine. They are big square bales.
