Hi all, I am in urgent need to find a yard in Godalming (or surrounding areas) that offer DIY, Part or Grass livery, have spaces and that aren't horrible or too competition based. Just nice friendly local yard. Only need space for 1 very well behaved horsey.

Hi thank you for your help everyone.

Swirlymurphy - I haven't tried Little Burgate as I have only heard negative things about the yard. Largely the people as opposed to the set-up. Although no harm in trying! thanks!

Horlick- YES PLEASE

Mia Bella - I will call them now.

Thank you thank you thank you all!

Although keep them coming, I'm surprised how full everywhere seems to be.

Hi. My husband has a yard in Hascombe, which is just outside Godalming, although we only do part, full and deluxe (yes, people do still ask for it from time to time!). He may have a vacancy as a mare has just gone off to be a broodie. Perhaps give him a call? Upper House Farm Stables - 01483 208 126. Ask for Andy.

We're a friendly bunch; some people compete, but others, me included, 'pootle'.

Hi Felicity

Try Ponds Farm in Albury. It's not the smartest yard but I left and then went back because the liveries and people are FAB! Hacking is pretty amazing too :D

Call them and leave a message or just pop up there 01483 203608. I work in Shalford and it takes me 10-15mins to get to the yard.

Another vote for Upper House farm or Little Burgate. Have been to both yards and have several friends who are or were liveries, both seem v nice. Don't know about 'bad things' about the people at LB...the only ones i have met have been lovely! Worth a phone call if you're desperate!

I am on the yard at Little Burgate and never been happier. VERY friendly. Real mix of people who all rub along really nicely from happy hackers in their 60's and 70's to eventers and BD bods. Fab hacking, flexible livery options and on sand so no mud...1 mile gallops, full set of show jumps, 2 sand schools, individual turnout if needed, all year round...and that means all year if YOU want it to be. Reliable staff, friendly and caring YM, well maintained, ummmmmmm, could go on...I wouldn't believe gossip, everyone has different experiences on different yards, happy horses mean happy owners in my experience :)
