Hi

I have a couple of horses in a field near Canterbury (there is a stable I can take them too if necessary). I need to get a farrier to come out but am hugely struggling. Both are now desperate but I cannot get a farrier to come out and cannot think what to do! There seems to be a shortage with all farriers booked up

Any advice???

I'm in Littlebourne. 3 farriers attend my yard.
My farrier is Ollie Hopper, you could try him. Other good farriers are Simon Jakeman, Peter Peers. Someone else on here was having real issues getting a farrier out, I think in the end she went for Richard Swift, who I believe is a fairly new farrier to the area.
All numbers should be found on the link TGM has provided. Good luck. I know it can be difficult around here.

Do you know anyone close by with horses who has a farrier come to them. Perhaps you could arrange to take your horses to their premises when the farrier is doing their horses. Just a thought.

You are not alone. Myself and a friend both had our farriers get injured, neither of us have been able to find another farrier who will come out. Our horses are suffering. Where is the humanity element in the farriers?
