Not to take Hovis's name in vain but what have your 'destroyers' broken over the years?

In the last eight months the big hairy (BH) has bust:

1) Yard tap - stretched across on his leadrope and tried to use tap as scratching post, cue headcollar getting caught and big hairy pulling tap off wall with his big head. OH repaired it and BH thought it was all very amusing..he is tied up much tighter now..

2) The fence - arrived to find top rail of fence that separates no grass field (that he was in) to lush grass field (that he wanted to be in ;)) broken in two. Long suffering OH is called to repair said fence, in the mean time temporary repair is being made by me and BH comes over and grabs the NEXT rail along with this teeth and starts swinging on it!! Honestly can't figure out if he was trying to help me or just demolish the rest of it before I could repair the first bit!:D

3) The BBQ - Horses have summer paddock next to owners house with little pedestrian gate leading from her garden to the paddock (I know I want her house too!). Anyway one morning about 4am she hears hooves on driveway, dives out of bed and goes out to find BH in driveway mowing lawn! Thankfully she has electric gates to road and he is not quite clever enough to push the button on his own (yet..). She found lots of tail hairs on the gate so think he must have been itching his butt and got the long lever thing caught (somewhere?!) and somehow levered open the gate! Although how he fit through the gate beggers belief as he is 16hh and chunky with it!.. Gate now has tie on it too...

This is just the big stuff, there also many other smaller items that have fallen prey to his cheeky playful nature but I wouldn't change him for the world! :D

So what have yours bust??

Most impressive was the fence. Properly demolished a huge big post and rail fence. Snapped a vertical post clean off and broke four rails.

My fingers/thumb/toe
Lots of buckets
A rug
Several leadropes
A hanging basket
A hosepipe
A wall
A gate
A jump wing
A grooming kit box
A door
A bin
Two of my jackets
A dog bed
Usual grooming kit trashing
and he chased a sheep through a hedge leaving both sheep and hedge in a sorry state.

Not to mention all of the stables he's trashed and recently the shoes he's pulled off. All in 6 months. He is the biggest vandal of a horse I've ever met, but i love him! :D

LOL at the sheep TrishC!

Olly goes through rugs quite a lot, and Millie nearly went through partition wall in the stables when she had her accident (was leaning on it for support)

Really??? I have had my girl 9 years now and can't think of anything she has broken, not even trashed a rug. she did break my finger and dislocate it but it wasn't her fault, she spooked and ran forward and the stupid knot at the end of the lead rein knocked my finger sideways. (no knots in lead reins now!)

ets racked my brains as there must be something and just remembered the coffee cup that i put down when she was being shod and she knocked it over. (does that count?)

Trish C that fence is impressive! Don't give BH and further ideas!

My last one was meant to say that when he was found mowing the lawn he had also knocked over and broken the BBQ!

I should also mention that (touch wood) he generally comes away unscathed from his 'activities'!

She obviously doesn't have the destroyer gene! :D

Very expensive, count yourself lucky!

My thug has *touchwood* got away thus far without serious injury. He was a bit stiff for a couple of days after the fence incident, but it was truly miraculous he didn't injure himself... he nearly gave me a heart attack, i was full sure he must have broken his leg or torn through his chest etc!

That said he currently has no hair on the underside of his neck from leaning over the top of a huge wire fence to eat the neighbouring garden. See my profile to view sig (on phone so it won't show on message) which has our coping mechanism in it :D
