Just thinking about my Christmas shopping  and thinking about buying a bridle as a present for my bf, as his mare destroyed hers quite some time ago.

Anyway, he has a Dever saddle and its pretty decent. Have seen on their website a fairly nice looking bridle with a decent chunky noseband and it doesn't have a flash loop- exactly what I reckon would suit! Any experiences of these?

Have gone for the 'show bridle' to get rid of flash loop- it would be totally unnecessary on this mare and would detract from her pretty face- default flashes on bridles is a pet hate of mine!

Has anybody else got an opinion on these?

I have decided to ask for a bridle for my birthday and was looking at the Albion KB ones but they seem a bit above my price range. My local saddlers stock Albion KB but also Dever which I had not heard of before...I really like the look of theirs as they are cheaper and have nice wide ones which is what I want for my cob.

The ones I prefer are the flat ones as I think they will look nice on my boy's big head! But does anyone have an opinion on choosing a non-padded bridle for vanity's sake over a padded one?

Dever bridles are lovely. I had mine for years and always looked brand new with a clean! (PS ascot is their budget range)

I have two one top of the range dressage one and a hunter bridle .
I bought the dressage because I thought it was the so much cheaper than the Albion KB ( that's my other good bridle ) and I got the hunter as it was so much more keenly priced than the Jeffries one I have.
I regret both purchases the head piece of the dresaage one is poorly shaped and the noseband is chunky and ugly viewed next to my Albion one .
The hunter bridle is horrible hard leather and no amount of soaping and care has fixed this I will replace both and flog these as soon as I can afford to.
