What do you think of them? Any experiences good or bad please...

...also thoughts on the Albion K2 and Amerigo & Excelle saddles if you would be so kind.

Thanks!

Seem pretty good for the price. I have stirrup leathers by them on my jump saddle and they have stood up to regular use v well.

Friend has a Dever jump saddle and likes it, and I though the quality was good esp considering they are not terribly expensive.

Albion K2 - used to have one, liked it, not a flat seated jump saddle though. Got rid in favour of an ideal springbok - have you looked at Ideals?

Amerigos are nice but spendy.

Amerigos are beautiful but hard!! Fantastic jump saddles, but wouldnt want to be doing lots of hacking in them

Excelle are nice but dont fit everything as they have a banana shaped tree, don't know about Dever saddles...
Other one to look at are the Equipes? They are the same factory as amerigo's but cheaper

My Springbok from memory was about £900. Certainly cheaper than albions/amerigos

V good quality too - the springbok is basically identical to the Albion Kontact but about £500 cheaper, and the impala pro is well worth a look.

Mark Todd got ideal to make him a saddle for his olympic comeback.

I ride in the Albion Kontact - the one they designed with WFP. http://www.flyingstarstables.com/assets/images/saddles_accessories/albion/albion_kontact.jpg It's got a bit of weight to it [bearing in mind it's close contact, it's about the same as my Bates Caprilli Cair GP.] I love it though, think it's dead comfortable and P goes really well in it. I tried an Amerigo, & like KatB said they're bl**dy hard. I have quite a bony bum and I literally sat in it and got off. I can't remember all the ones the saddler came with but the Albion really topped it, plus I think it's a good looking saddle.

Only ridden in a pony dever saddle, tbh really didnt like it, it felt very new, even though it wasnt, and stiff, but a nice design.
I like the amergio, the one on the yard wasnt to hard but i only rode in a handful of times.
I really like the prestige saddles but my legs were too long for a 17inch but i didnt fancy an 18, but really comfy, hunted in it all day!
Jaguars are the really uncomfy ones in my experience.

I went through a phase of sitting on every saddle I could find in Town and Country and the most comfy of the lot was the Dever. Didn't much like the appearance of the sort of alligator like leather, but the cut was good and the saddle felt secure. (I only wanted one to hack in and sit the odd buck!)
My daughter swears by her Amerigo, and her Dad went straight out and bought his after borrowing hers. (and he's pretty mean when it comes to buying new stuff!)
