yep...you just have to give more of them.

I have also used their green lipped mussell capsules ( which is the same as pernamax/maxavita) but for about a third of the price....

They look at you a bit oddly if you tell them its for your horse though

oh i just checked the prices on them! thats brill! - how many would u give your horse a day?
also what are the other capsules you said are for?

so happy! thanks! x

I get mine from Progressive Earth on e-bay - they do lots of other stuff as well. For long term use Boswellia is better on the stomach than Devil's Claw as it is less likely to cause ulcer problems but has the same properties.

GLM is used for reducing inflammation, so its good for stiff/achey joints and can also be used on laminitics.....have a look on the maxavita website for info, but its much cheaper to go to H+B. Think I gave about 4 capsules of each, possibly more of the devils claw...

Dose will depend on your horse's weight and of course the strength of the tablets. You vet will be able to advice on correct dosage. WE always used to open the caplets and sprinkle the devil's claw on the feed.

Do remember that Devil's claw takes about a month to build up in the system, so discuss with your vet the best way to ensure your horse is not in pain during that time (we gradually decreased bute on the advice of the vet).

devils claw might be homeopathic but it seriously loads the liver and is more toxic long term than bute. if not competeing under rules i would give bute or danelon. talk to your vet. he didnt do 6 years training for nothing!

No, but my old vet far preferred devil's claw to bute for long term chronic use (bute for accute) - as you say, he didn't do 6 years training for nothing...
