That's a really good donation, thank you on our behalf too,as it was DAA that picked my husband up after a horse smashed his heel into pieces.
By road the trip would take a minimum of 35 mins, in the copter it takes less than ten. A big difference when someone is in a lot of pain or needs vital surgery.
I donate every time I spend money in our local Co-op, they have a special card they swipe and your points go to the Air Ambulance instead of yourself.
The air ambulance flies over here several times a week, it's a busy and expensive service to run, and I know of lots of riders who have been airlifted in it.
A nice memorial to such a super horse who lived in Devon...

Thats great! Air ambulance are fab where I work is the helipad for the area is its one of the few bits of flat land there is out in the sticks so i see them a fair bit. So glad they're getting the money
