Clover and I went to Devon this past week for a holiday and so she could see the beach, we both had one of the best weeks of our lives. She behaved brilliantly throughout and I couldn't be more proud of her.

We also got go meet Clodagh and her wonderful dogs, Clover normally doesn't like interacting with other dogs and prefers to explore on her own but Clodagh's dogs behaved impeccably which allowed Clover to thrive in their company.

Scout came the first day to Instow, as he can’t do a big walk like we did the second day at Saunton.
They loved it. I kept them to heel until we were down the ramp and on the beach and then released them and whoosh, full pelt, it was great to see.
I’m so pleased SA got me to make the effort to go there, it’s going to be a regular thing now.

Its outrageous you hadn't been to the beach until this week! Scout was amazing and even more so given he's only 5 months. Clover got on with all your dogs so well ?

All dogs seem to just love a good blast around on the beach. Are Devon beaches dog friendly all year round? I might need to venture south of the Border, it’s been years since I visited Devon and Cornwall (prob about 28 years ?).

Some are but the main ones not March- September. It’s not as though you are lacking decent beaches up there ?

Some beaches did say no dogs allowed or no dogs off leash from 1 May to 30 September. The big Saunton Sands allows dogs all year though, just to be kept on leash for the first part

True we do have some great beaches and thankfully they’re dog friendly all year round. Still would like to visit D&C again at some point (probably better out of main tourist season anyway).
