Hey,
Well it looks like i will be relocating to Devon in the next 6 months.
Going to hopefully be working out of Exeter airport and im wondering if you local people would be able to name me a few places that i could possibly move to?
Any horsey areas?
Would be buying my own yard - so excited!!

Pretty much the whole of devon is horsey! There are a few good places north of exeter (also handy for the airport) along the road that goes to barnstaple.... can't remember the road number but its the main north-south road...

But i would say, north devon is a million times better than the south!
 
LOL Vicki_Krystal, I'm going to be relocating to Bideford to live with my Devonian OH, so can empathise with you! Good luck finding somewhere!
 
Devon is very horsey and I would say around Exeter is a good spot to get to all the horsey shows, events etc, depending on what you are interested in.

Samstar am very happy to hear that, but sadly I've also been told it's the wettest part of Devon too! Am also not having fun trying to find a job down there (i'm a PA), it's seems the job market is not a buoyant one!
 
Devon people are wonderful, West Devon has the most fantastic riding miles and miles of moors and the sea not far away!!

We are all bonkers here in Devon. I'm from the middle of the county but all area are horse orientated.
There are some good shops i.e.
Mole Valley, Mole Avon, Watermans, Town and Country Supplies, Rollstone Feeds. Farmers Friend, Leonard Coombes, Wychanger Barton. and many more. You can tell I dont know where Gap and Primark are but saddlers whereabouts are easy. We have a saying in my profession NFT means Normal forTiverton!!!!!
 
Don't worry Samstar I'm in Somerset so already have the full range of waterproof gear, so am ready for whatever Devon chucks at me!

Proudwilliam totally agree, my new fave shop is Mole Valley Farmers at South Molten, so reasonably priced!
 
Samstar and myself are regulars at Mole Valley, South Molton...there is a fab food van just outside that beckons us everytime we're there.. I blame Samstar

so jealous lucky you! i come from that way. bicton is fab for competing and the county shows are cool too. houses can b VERY expensive so stay away from teh touristy parts and you should get a bit more for your money.
 
Good luck with application VK, if you get the job, perhaps we can celebrate with a rather good sandwich at a certain food van outside MVF in South Molton!!!!
