As per title… I have got them on the correct sides as they say L and R on them! However, they are severely digging into my shins and bruising them. I don’t think there’s anything that wrong with my position? I also had the same issue with Wow leathers with the H fastening. Ouchies!

And how are you supposed to run them up to tack up/untack and make sure that you’re safe not to get caught up going through gateways etc?

They are so expensive but so painful!

I had a far more comfortable ride this evening! And I am equally comfortable about not being able to see comments from an ignored user, which is presumably the usual snarking. Even on the most banal post about stirrup leathers. Quite amusing really that even the most humble and uncontroversial threads cannot be left alone. Goodness only knows how I can possibly be construed as being in the wrong for having the stirrup leathers that were designed to complement my saddle! But I am always somehow in the wrong, aren’t I!

Am I being dim?

When the leathers are the ‘correct’ way round surely that bottom buckle is going to press into the horse’s side?

I assume with the stirrup in normal riding position, at right angle to the horse's side, the buckles will face forwards towards the horse's head and not press on them at all.

Not sure what has happened to my quotes but no having the buckle at the bottom near the stirrup will not rub you or the rider, I do this on one of my endurance saddles and have ridden hundreds of miles with no rubs 😊
