Young puppy suffered a dew claw injury which made him quite lame, it had bent back and into the leg/pad.

That was cut, and instantly became sound again (was cut short so there was some blood), noticed since though if goes to sleep flat out, when wakes up is still on the leg for a couple of mins, could this be related to the claw? He ran into something which caused the injury in the first place, but took a while to see it was the claw rather than a tissue injury, so the claw was cut back 2 days ago.

Any ideas? Pup is 4 months. No swelling/yelping/anything else?

ETA Is a Parsons.

What pain relief did the vet give at the time...or has he seen a vet yet?

Front dewclaw or hind?

If hes not walking on it its because it is painful, they dont limp for no reason.bring him back to the vet and recheck.

Might be soft tissue injury...hes only little so if he impacted something hard enough to snap the nail he could have done further ligament/tissue damage or if unlucky he could have fractured the bone within the dewclaw.it can be hard to access the dewclaw when the nail is broken and painful initally.
metacam is an antiinflammatory so will bring the swelling down and control pain. which is why he would have been sound initally.vet may need to deep palpation to find the sore spots now.
I'd bring him back to the vets again.if nothing else they can give more pain relief if needed.
Parsons are tough little dogs,if hes limping its likely still bothering him.
