Another Dexter update, and some pictures of recent days out with all the dogs.

When Dexter arrived with us:

After a few weeks:

Now (9 months, doesn't time fly):

He doesn't look very happy in this, but it really shows the shape of his face, and he does love his paddling pool!

"It's too warm"

Suzie, the Chi/JRT cross (calling her the Chiterrier, pronounced *****errier :p), loves to get out with the big dogs.

Suzie and Dexter

Tyler and Suzie

Very pretty Lola

And the group (minus Dexter, I can only fit so many dogs in a corsa)

:D

Looking well! And I stand corrected, I'd say there is definitely some Rott or something in there! as well as the working GSD :p ;)

How's the x-ray vet quest going? Any joy?

He's got so dark recently so it shows off his ginger legs and brows.

He's a stubborn brat at times, he knows his weight (pushing 25kg) but he's honestly all we could have hoped for, an absolute star. He's also a pro football stealer, I swear him and Tyler work together when they see one of the kids coming with a football!

Haven't booked xrays yet, going to get them sorted soon though as want to know exactly whats going on. He's definitely stiff sometimes, which is very worrying. Trying to convince ourselves that it's his bones still growing but I have a feeling his hips are going to be utter rubbish. Wouldn't say he's lame, and someone who doesn't know him probably wouldn't spot the stiffness, but we can see it so will obviously be asking vet whether he'd like to investigate any other bones when xrays are being done, its definitely at the back end though. He will have whatever he needs though. For now he's on a good dry food, with a tub of Nature Diet added a few times a week, and we are starting him on glucosamine and cod liver oil.

Amymay, you can have her, she can walk 5 mile, sleep for 10 minutes and be ready to do it all over again, so I hope you have your walking shoes on!
