My lovely 14 year old ginger boy has just been diagnosed as diabetic. We’re going to try the liquid medication rather than the injections (mainly because they’re once a day as opposed to twice and he’s a busy, outdoor cat - usually).

Has anyone any experience of feline diabetes. Suggestions for good, inexpensive feed would be appreciated too.

Not my own, a friend was injecting her mother's cat 2x per day for quite a long time, so cat lived with diabetes for several years. I don't know if they had the option if oral meds, or if cat wouldn't cooperate.
I hope yours appreciates your efforts

I think the oral meds are à relatively new thing. We just thought it might be easier once a day in case he goes awol for a mealtime (which can happen). And might be easier if someone else looks after him if we ever go away. Just praying he lines it and it’s not a battle!
