Riding out on my own this afternoon had an incident with a car, three lads driving like loonies screetched round a corner, when I waved them down to slow down they just waved back! Less than 10 minutes later they came up behind my wonderful horse, revving the engine and making huge amounts of noise, stopped alongside her and then set off revving and wscreetching again. I got the index the first time I saw them( that seemed easy as vanity plate). I rang the police and reported it, they tried to find them but couldn't and the index does not show up as a real plate! The police will try some alternatives. My mare was fantastic, ignored the car and then stood like a rock while I phoned the police. Sorry for the long post but it was a very odd situation.

Sounds like a pretty scary situation, just as well your horse was such a well behaved girl. I can only hope the police will keep an eye out for these idiots and find them soon, before they pull such a stupid stunt again.

Oh God. Every rider's nightmare I would think.

So glad you're ok. Extra carrots for your horse for being so level headed. I do hope the police find the idiots.

Oh how awful for you. sounds like you and your mare handled it brilliantly. well done you. Im not sure i would have thought about phoning the police.

How awful! There are so many Ar******s about, that we find it difficult to ride. Ignore them, call for 999 and at the worse thank Christ you R okay and your horse has re-affirmed his traffic safety. It is the drivers who are stupid - we could let them win, but then there are so many riders who have nowhere but roads to ride on, so FIGHT!!!

I hope they find them! Disrespectful a**holes I cannot stand people who act like that on the roads especially when around riders. Glad to hear your girly was so well behaved.

Thanks all, we are both fine, I'm not even sure that Amber noticed them. She had had a panic attack about a donkey that she could smell about 3/4 of an hour before,:) but is absolutely traffic proof, which is a real change from my old appy who was a nightmare on the road. This girl has done wonders for my confidence on the road and was a star again today.

Glad you are both OK. I bet they wouldn't have been so cocky if it had been a nervous horse that jumped all over the road... Idiots! Let us know whether they find them or not!

Will keep you posted. I think I will ride at a different time tomorow as I am on holiday and can ride any time. I am also going to our saddle club meeting this week and will ask other people to keep an eye out and report them if they cause any problems for them.

I would've died a hundred deaths and so would've Pony. Glad your girl is an angel and looks after you.
Hope they catch the a**e h***s!
