Diamond in horses freezemark?

My horse freezemark begins with a diamond shape. Does anyone know if this means something or if it was just a random symbol? He is of no significant breed and isnt loss of use branded. Thanks!!

Hi That is not an unusual mark. It was standard for one of the freezmarking companies about 10 years ago. I cannot remeber the name, but it was the one that did not charge an annual fee. My horse was freeze marked by them Diamond 7 V X. I had it in a diamond shape on his flank so people assumed it was a brand anyway!

My lad has a diamond - I've owned him since he was 4, now 21 and never found out who it was or how to register him to me!

the diamond is equestrian security services who are no longer in operation, however, you can register the details with farmkey & i assume also with freezemark ltd
