Hi all. This is my first foray into the breeding forum so please treat me nicely.

Diamond Rock is the sire of my lovely horse and it has just made me interested to know more about him so please tell me all you know.

Hi Pebble! Is your horse's sire the Irish Draught Diamond Rock? If so you can probably find quite a bit about him through the Irish Horse Board, but a good starting point for his pedigree is :

If that is him, he comes from a venerable breeding line, with his sire King of Diamonds being one of the all-time greats! KoD sired an enormous number of very talented horses. Diamond Rock himself sired the winning filly in the IDHS National Show, Ireland, 2004, and I think that you would be able to trace his other successful offspring through the IHB.

Yes it is that Diamond Rock. His dam is an unknown TB - however my lad is so laid back and the TB side doesn't really ever show

Hiya I have a mare by Diamond Rock! Also Cruiseline from here has a mare by him who has performed exceptionally well in SJ and also bred some super young horses.

My mare is 18 now and a rather large and grumpy lawn mower! However in her day she jumped to 1.30m level and has produced 3 wonderful foals. I wouldn't change her for the world, quirks and all as she really is the most honest horse you could ever wish to meet and she would jump the moon if I asked.
