One of my horses has the run I know it’s coming from the haylage but I can’t feed normal hay as all of mine will start coughing

What can I feed to get the run a bit under control ?

Soak the hay? Or feed dry bran - not wet, it has the opposite effect - and limestone flour.

You could steam hay for that horse but dry (damp) bran works to stop the runs. If you feed more than a handful, you will need to add limestone flour.

Hay is no option as horses still out 24/7 and I can’t wet or damp a 6ft roundbale

Will try the limestone flour

It's not the limestone flour that will do the job, it is the bran, you only need the limestone flour for the calcium because bran may be high in phosporous and you need to re-balance.

I gave that to two horses and it made them both footy.
