Ed has been on his diet for 4 /5weeks now. I am feeling positive about him and although he's not perfect yet, I am pleased with our progress.

He's coping really well and although I was dreading it as he has stable aggression, he has taken it all like a trooper and has only disgraced himself once (he liberated himself today and cantered down to his field where he realised the gate was shut and the game was up!

)

I hope you guys can see a difference too!

We have a WH show on Sat and I am bricking it !!

Tremendous improvement.

Is he having any grass at all???

I'm really struggling with Thumper. Even with 12 hours in and the smallest amount of soaked hay....

Yey!! Its coming off and he still looks good!!

When my mare was feeling better (ie bored!!) towards the end of her box rest she learnt how to undo all the locks and bolts on the stables so can liberate herself and anyone else she feels like!!

Amymay - He gets turnout over night on weekends (he's only allowed out on weekends as I tell his field mates

) otherwise he's in 24/7 either in his stable or in a pen when available. Ridden 5/7 days, but only lightly by most peoples' reckonning ( 30 mins schooling/jumping/canter track work 3 times a week and a 2 hour hack on weekends)

He gets a full soaked haynet, twice a day and sometimes I do grab some grass and thread it in his haynet for a bit of interest, but otherwise its just boring soaked hay all day every day!

He's taken to some furious door banging, when he believes his haynet should be refilled, but this is cured with the top grill being shut, which makes him stand in the middle of the stable seething until I come and let him out

I tell him its all for his own good, but he doesn't believe me !!

I'm so glad you guys can see an improvement, sometimes I wonder if I'm doing ok - so thanks
