I turned up really early at my local one expecting there to be hoards of horsey people but it was deserted! and they had loads of sizes! I was lucky enough to get everything I wanted :)

I got:

2x polo shirts

2x jodhpurs

3x socks

and a pair of gloves :)

I can't wait to try them out tonight when I ride :D did anyone else get anything?

I'd say they do. I got a small which according to the label is an 8-10 but I think it would be miles too big on an 8. If you can get it out of the bag and try it on, that's what I did.

Thank you! Hoping for a lilac or navy poloshirt..my last small was a big massive too so i sold it on ebay! It would have gone over an airjacket...after inflation!Someone was very happy with it..but I'm sure it was a miss size as their xs /s usually are just a little big which ca be nice & cool

not seen yet, but would worry if hats were not boxed as I've seen the freeforall it can become when there are nice things to rummage thru!:eek:they did look pretty good online if saving your best ones..but then what price is your safety/life worth?Will have a look if any left & report back if there are:)

Is there an on line flyer with prices and stock? Might have to fly by on way home...
 
I got 3 packs of socks as I stock up every years on them and got the 16/18 in the blue polo top. I'm a 14/16 but the sizes ran 12/14 or 16/18 but the tops aren't generous after you wash them, I find they always shrink lengthwise which is not a good look if you are tall like me! :P
 
I got myself a grey polo (in medium - it's massive :-S) and a kids hat for my toddler - the polly hats are so light they are great for little ones who'd struggle with the wright of a jockey skull on their heads. So he can finally have a ride on our Shetland!
 
I got a pair of jods, a polo shirt and some socks. Wanted a hat too but they didn't have any in navy which is the colour I wanted!
 
sounds like everyone got good bargins then :) I went for a hack tonight in my newly acquired aldi gear and it was very comfy. I went all out and put my horse in his equally cheap lidl saddle cloth ;)

Ahh..that will be because the last lot were almost dresses in length!:D I set off to horses via Aldi tack shop....but..can you believe? I flipping forgot to go! All this warm weather is making me dazed & forgetful!try again tomorrow!:D
 
Worth a look at hats then; they looked a bit shiny in the photos! They would have proper kitemarks for European market and seeing as they are the adjustable type they should be safe enough as it's different to getting a proper fitted showing velvet one like I'm using at the moment that was a lot of money from the saddlers! And probably better than a polo helmet too as they are all rubbish!
 
hmm the jodhpurs look quite nice actually, i'm a 16-18 though so not sure if they will fit me? also the yard boots only go up to size 7.... booo Aldi way to make me feel huge!
 
I think I'll head in there now. I liked the Jodhs the last time but before that the small size was too big for me. Does anyone know if these are true to size or bigger? Going to get some gloves too. They look like near enough the same as Roeckl ones which I keep for showing. The socks are super comfy too but already have too many :o
 
The polos are small, medium and large but the joddies are 10,12,14 and 16 this time. I bought a 12 as I'm dieting and they fit me so they must still come up large (and stretch well!) as I'm pretty sure I wouldn't fit into size 12 jeans yet! :p
 
I did! After getting the tip off on here haha :) I got a pair of jodhpurs and two packs of socks. Seems to be good quality for the price. I will be testing this out tonight!
 
I gave in and bought one of the Polly hats for my 2 yo to ride her Shetland in, she would only fit a tiny Raleigh bike helmet before and this fits great and is light weight, plus the plastic shell seems far more sturdy than the bike hat.
 
Would the jodhpurs come up on the large side?
asking because my size was unavailable when a friend purchased them.
 
What ate the gloves like? They look nice on the site. Am nipping in later to see if they have any gloves left
 
I found the gloves didn't fit right so I left them, they were either too right or too big. I've bought 2 pairs if kids but haven't tried them on, all they had left was a 12, 2 pairs of 16's and an 18. I ended up taking a size 12 and a size 16, there didn't seem much difference in the size.
 
I got gloves and a hat in the end although the other stuff looked decent I just can't afford unnecessaries right now. Had a good read through safety leaflet with it and seems to cover most safety levels for UK competition other than some Pony Club HT stuff and I don't really jump so should be fine for schooling and hacking. Not the most amazing looking but light and comfy and means my proper hat can be saved for smart. Gloves pretty decent for the price!
