Did i do the right thing.

YO told me that my horse had been seen fighting with his field mate. I asked the other horses owner to check her horse out for kicks bites etc. Luckily he was ok. She then approached the YO saying that the horses always play and the person that reported it to the YO was trying to cause trouble, and that the YO had upset me over the incident. Next day YO came over and tore a strip of me for telling the other owner. Today the YO snubbed me completely when i spoke to her. Did i do wrong in telling other owner to check her horse.

No! I would want to know. mine was very playful at last yard and I used to get told daily of his antics by the other owners. He always seemed to be the one coming in with cuts and scrapes though! why did she tell Y/O that she had upset you though? had she? If not then it sounds like miscommunication between Y/O and other person, nothing to do with you

The other owner had to know, so that she could check her horse. Full stop. If it was my boy, I would be mad if I didn't know to do a full check, and what may have happened if there was an injury. YO is deffo wrong here. sm xx
