I remember reading a post somewhere online on this subject, a girl had a step parent who was involved with horses and they were now living in a big house, land, stables, horses etc. Christmas morning she gets up to find a lead rope under the tree with a note telling her to go outside. Outside she finds a headcollar (or something) and another note, eventually she gets to a stable, completely hyper ....

There was no pony.

It was a "joke" set up by her step parent who stood peeing themself laughing at her.

I so hope it was some troll making it up

Always hoped and wished for a pony for xmas... never did get one though :(

So after loaning my boy I bought him myself on 18th December after having him for about 6months, so I guess he was my xmas present and it was truely the best ever!!! Best 10 years of my life was with him.. RIP baby boy xx

I still hope that I will get taken to the yard to find a bow outside my stable now... and that Toby has been bought for me :) :)

I was always disappointed as a child 'cos all I wanted was an elephant! Never got one!

LMAO legendary!

i got my boy for my 18th birthday pressie :)

we already had him though, but he was registered to my mum so that was changed :)

Yea me too with my old boy... Always wanted a pony for Christmas as a kid, but it never happened, until I was 12 and it wa spring time. I think he was still called my xmas / bday presents though!

I woudn't mind waking up on Christmas morning to a certain little PB highland yearling in my field though ;)

I guess mine was a slightly late birthday present.. I don't mean he arrived with a bow on him as a surprise or anything, but we'd been looking and he was bought just a month after my 15th.. So while it wasn't a surprise as I of course went to the dealer to try him out etc, he was still my gift. He's also part of my 'do well in your exams or else' bribe :D xx

Yes I did as a child and also as an adult I've been given horses on my birthday too. One year for a special wedding anniversary my husband bought me one of the most fantastic horses I've ever had the pleasure of owning :) I've done the pay-forward thing with my children. All of them at some time were given ponies for Christmas and birthdays.

Tazz that pup is adorable!

and he still is! Flippin' thing gets away with murder using his puppy eyes on me :rolleyes:

from the size of that pup you could probably saddle it and ride it anyway

:D

he was small really! :p:p Though now I can stroke his head without bending down, I'm 5ft 4. he still has 2 years left of maturing to do...:D
