Had a quick look on the Severn Trent water website, couldn't see anything, searched horses, haynets in the site search and pulled up nothing.

Strikes me as a bit of marketing BS....

Yup, knew it was strong stuff and so don't soak for more than a few mins. My hay is clean but I damp it all the same. I tip it away onto the field...............

ridiculous! in my former medical study/occupation we were assured it was ok to release blood, embalming fluid and other chemical and bodily waste directly down the drain... to me that's a tad more risky than haynet water!

Yes I have heard this - but i think it's Ok if it goes down drains on a farm etc - just not down domestic drains.

yep, and it's bacterial and fungal content is the equivalent of raw sewage....

definitely not worth feeding to our beloved nags!!
