DIESEL CONSUMPTION AND STICKY BRAKES ON TRAILER

Sorry to post 2 questions here. I have an IW 510 and 2 horses combined weight of approx 1500kg and tow with a Nissan Navara 4x4 and idea how many MPG it will get on average and

The brakes on my trailer keep sticking when it has been stood dispite leaving the brake off, as I don't have the tow car day to day, I can't keep moving it.

ANY IDEAS ANYONE ON THE ABOVE

Your trailer might need a service, there is a little pin under the hitch relating to the brakes, and even if you have the brake down and in the off position, this pin can jam on.

If its of any help - I tow with a Kia Sorento 2.5 diesel auto and with an average commute of 20 miles per day (10 each way) and towing to a venue around 30 miles away each week, I seem to get around 22mpg on average. This is towing a 510 and one horse.

I imagine I am getting around 28-30 mpg ish on my short commute, but the towing kills the average!

Now wondering whether I would be better off with a lorry and a little car, but would take too much of a loss if I sold the kia.
 
Ditto Mother Hen, you probably need a service. You don't need to go to a trailer dealer for this a caravan mechanic can do it just as well & probably cheaper. In my area you are looking at about £90 for a service.

Agree with others - get the trailer serviced.

As to fuel consumption I have a Mitsubishi L200 Animal and average 29mpg. That's towing once a week and the rest is commuting 15 miles perday to work.
