So, first time in more than 40 years of horseownership, I'm dealing with a tendon injury He fell over something and whacked the back of his leg, and a scan has revealed a small lesion in his SDFT. No lamness, heat or swelling 3 weeks after the incident. (lots of Ice Vibe for the first week). 6 months field rest advised.
He is currently fed a small amount of alfalfa cubes, linseed, mineral mix (Pro3 - Cu Zn Se ) with biotin, Mg and Vit E. I'm changing the Pro 3 to Pro Essential which adds Methionine, Threonine and Lysine.
Anything else you'd advise to help ensure a strong repair? Or am I just buliding an expensive muckheap?
