hi

my vets want me to put my horse on cosequin for his currently lameness issues- its £120 a tub

does anyone know if it will be covered by my insurance policy? i already have an ongoing claim for this issue. ive found it a bit cheaper online but sisnt want to order it if the vets can put it on my invoice through them to include in my claim :D

will ring insurance tomorrow but didnt know if anyone had any experiences of this?

Im with petplan, but i imagine it's similar. I've had cosequin a few times on various claims, and they've paid for it every time. As long as the vets are prescribing it, they can't argue.

When my mare had legaphyton (sp?) which is a feed supplement for liver inflammation this was covered under the complementary bit of her KBIS insurance. Think this cover is only about 500 quid though so keep an eye on how much is going against it.
