Hi all,
My head is melted so I need to use of your brains please! I am so worried about my mare so am not so good at thinking this through logically. Help!
My mare was under one vets, then we moved (actually before treatment could commence, but info with liverpool so was ongoing). Liverpool were v v slow and her sarcoid progressed and I was struggling to keep it clean (open ozzey sarcoid on her head which was v painful for her) so had new vet out who started a course of injections and said he wouldn't use the cream on the one on her face.
Now more info through from liverpool suggesting diff strength cream (as the sarcoid has progressed so much). But current vet isn't recommending this treatment. Old vet is passing on this info as they started this with liverpool. Old vet is absolutly fab so I don't want to come across as being akward about not using the treatment they and liverpool are suggesting.
New vet has given some treatment, fingers crossed, but the has more sarcoids on her which require future treatment. Do I go with current (v experienced well respected vet) opinion who has actually seen my mare; or do I go with liverpool who have seen a couple of pics and who sell their cream (in this instance could they be considered 100% unbiased - not meaning this in a bad way, just that they are prob more inclined to recommend their own treatment?).
No idea what to do at all, I just want to do the very best for my mare, but I am not a vet and all I can do is take advice from my vet - but what on earth does one do when vets don't agree??
Arghhh! Please help!!
