Difference between Bombers Williams and 2.5 ring bits

Can anybody explain to me the difference between the Bombers Williams and 2.5 ring bits please?

I’m looking for something to help with brakes while doing fast and exciting work. Ideally I’d like a 3 ring gag but they don’t have those with any of the mouthpieces my horse likes. So I’m trying to decide which out of the Williams or the 2.5 ring options might be best to go for but I can’t quite get my head around the physics of it all!

Thanks, he’s already in a 3 ring happy tongue with a curb strap and still strong. I think the problem is that he can set against the happy tongue as it’s unjointed. I want to try and find a jointed one but with tongue relief as he doesn’t like tongue pressure. That doesn’t seem to exist though! So it’s just trying to work out what my next best option is.

Have a look at the Bomber Elliptical B, a game changer for mine about 5 years ago. Only used it a very few times sj and xc till control was fully in place on v strong mare.
