difference between hifi molasses free and alfa a molasses free?

As farmers got me the wrong one ie the alfa a eeek can anyone advise?

alfa a is made from alfalfa and hifi is (I think) a mix of alfalfa and chopped straw

Alfa A is higher energy/higher protein than hifi

This is correct. Also some horses aren't tolerant of alfalfa in big quantities, although it does have a lot more protein and minerals than straw (which is why it makes a good balance for it)

Maybe you could get some plain oat chaff and mix the two? Hey presto your own hi fi lite!

The hifi basically has less sugar less starch and more fibre.

I cant do anything until he weekend...ill have a look at what the feed place sells i just know itll set the young one off
