just a quicky... there's a thread in competition riders about what horse breeds are doing what, and they are all talking about what colour their passports are...

do different colour passports mean different things?

different companys have different colours, prince is registered with wetherbys and his is green.
 
In Ireland you get white passports for horses who's breeding is unknown, blue for horses with part of their breeding known, and green for horses who's full bloodlines are known.

Don has a blue passport, his sire's lines are there, but not his dam's, just her name and her sire.

ah... now this explains the posts earlier today, some seemed pleased theirs was green. mine's also green, but is polish...

My Arabs have dark blue passports. The furry footed monster has a <font color="pink">pink </font> passport (oh the shame of it

If irish passports are different colours depending on known breeding how come my boy has a blue Irish passport but there is no details of sire or dam but says he is an irish sport horse?
