Who has one for showing, what discipline and what colour jacket do you wear?

I really like the elephant grey and the brown.......i do a bit of everything, from dressage to show jumping to inhand showing (new to inhand!)
So say if i went for a brown hat what colour jacket would be best and would it be suitable for all above disciplines?
Thanks :)
It lets you look at the different colours :)

Love really nice and old fashioned riding clothes!

My (non safety) beagler is brown I wear with a brown tweed jacket and, if they 'suit' the horse brown long boots. I have had these since a teenager and love this set.

My safety hat is navy blue tho' and I have a grey tweed jacket and black boots to go with that ensemble...

(I've been doing this since I was 2 and I'm in my 30s now so have collected this stuff over many years:) -- I like my tail coat and topper but that's for a different disapline!!! )

Boring black for my competition times and faded black for hacking! After looking for a new competition one and only finding £18 in tack shops, I went to equestrian car boot yesterday in my village and struck gold, got brand new velvet navy and a black for £3 each!

Also got a second hand lovely english leather bridle (can't remember make, heratidge or cottage craft or something) with lovely padded crank noseband for £25. Bit worn but in good condition and all stitching/buckles fine! Very chuffed as was looking at spending up to a £100 to get a similar one in the Derby house catalouge.

Sorry am prattling on! :)

I have a navy hat and green tweed jacket for showing :) For showing a tweed jacket is correct for pretty much everything apart from hacks and show ponies for which you would have navy instead.

I've got a gorgeous brown Charles Owen show hat with the flesh coloured leather straps which goes with a browny green Alexander James tweed jacket. However, I've not worn either for years as navy or black is considered more correct for showing quarter horses in English tack, dammit! :D

if you want to do it "proper" your hat should be same colour as your collar.. i have a blue velvet, i also have a green velvet which is for inter schools events, but people have commented saying its quite nice

I've got a brown CO for showing which I wear with a sage green tweed with brown collar and brown overcheck. I often wear the same jacket and hat with brown cord trousers for in-hand as well.

Brown velvet hat with brown Regent boots and a slightly greenish tweed... I just don't like black boots, so if I can avoid wearing them, I do!

Very local showing though!

I have an elephant grey hat I wear for dressage and showjumping (or would if horses would stay sound). I wear a navy hat with green tweed with navy velvet trim for showing though.

I think i will go for the brown - although i have never come across anyone with hats other than navy or black :)
Now to find a nice tweed...........
