What is everyone planning for 2013??
I am, for the first time in my life, putting my horses at the bottom of my plans
I am selling my 4 year old, putting the broodmare/dressage horse out of permanent loan and keeping the 8 year of gingertrotter and 3 year old mare ticking over.
I usually have big plans every season for them but this year I need to save every penny and finish renovating my house and building a new outdoor arena. So that means saving on competition entry fees and diesel travelling costs. I feel a bit odd about not making any plans, I'd like to do my bronze thistle on my 8 year old (30, 30 and 50k endurance rides) so will see if I can compete at the most local rides to me and train on the roads and fields at home instead of trailering up and going to the forests and beach.
I am very determined to finish the house and have a arena in one year so I think its a doable sacrifice to not play ponies every weekend and play DIY instead.... still feel a little odd about it though, like I dont have alot to look forward to.
