I've put in for a place at my old yard where I kept my loan pony and have categorically stated that if a place comes up and nobody is before me I will have it and pay for it. Only then will I look for my horse. There's additional help available at cost, 5 minute pootle on my little 125cc bike from my work/house, american barn, properly rotated fields with poopicking rota, everyone has name tagged space for tack, feed, hay/bedding with contact details on, spacious outdoor school with jumps, on and offroad hacking, and the least bitchy yard I've ever met. At £25p/wk I'd pay a £100 a month with no horse there just to know that when the right horse comes along I can enjoy my life with him/her to its full extent! And the best part is? The loan pony I had has just come back to the same yard on full loan to the little girl who was helping me with him
