Well Digby went out sj today at the same venue as last weekend.

We expected it to be really busy but in fact there was about 6 lorries there so major panic.
They were walking my course(2ft3) and so i ran around that and mum got digby ready while i got changed. Took him in the warm up literally had a quick trot and canter and over a x pole and went down to the arena (not best for a baby really) it was really quite twisty again but not too bad. Unfortunatly i missed the turn from the first to the second as it was a dog leg and as i landed i knew i wouldnt make it without really yanking him. As i knew he wasnt really warmed up i just trotted him right the way round and jumped the 2nd and went clear round the rest so was so pleased with him....as poor boy was rather rushed.

We then tied him to the lorry for a while to wait for my next.
Eventually they were going to start the 2ft6 which is the biggest i have really jumped him. I walked the course and i just couldnt believe it...first to the second was a ridiculously tight turn and i really never thought we would do it (another lady on her youngster ran past it, among others)

Anyway jumped no.1 froma trot which was difficult to get to anyway and then as i landed just turned and jumped 2 completely on the angle. He jumped round the rest which included proper horse stride doubles and he took it all in his stride. Had one down due to getting a bit speedy along the straight.

I am so pleased for him as he was so good, everything comes up so quick and hes never going to come across such a twisty course out eventing so really really pleased. He really pings me out of the saddle and throws me foward a bit which i am getting used to slowly!! (never ridden something with so much scope)
