well didnt go quite as well today but he was still perfectly behaved
got there and the warm up was jammed in with ponies so really onmly walked him around and then trotted into a x pole as there was no room (i did say a rather loud "excuse me" to one and they then announced on the tannoy they would like people not doing anything to get out) yay
but anyway went in to the 2ft3 and he was good.
I trotted into the first two just to give him a bit of time to see what was going on and proceeded in canter, didnt worry about the fillers etc whch was good. So went clear.
Decided to do the jump off but to just trot around until i got a good space to have a canter, he compl;etely couldnt be bothered and felt so tired and had the last 2 down. Dont know whether he has just had enough sj just recently, or whether it was the mixture of the heat and deep warm up surface as he seemed to find it hard.
then gave him a good break before the 2ft6 and a quick buzz round before that class, jumped about a 3ft spread in the warm up really nicely
he had 2 down again and i had to turn a circle.
Had the first down as he got a bit of a long canter going back to the collecting ring and just cliped it and then hit another with his back feet. dont really remeber why i had to circle to be honest i jsut remember landing and not being straight. Apart from that he wasnt too bad. (my steering was pretty bad as well in that round)
All good expereince and he will have a break from sj after tommorrow as i need to really work on the flat now.
Hes all bunched up to be plaited 2moro for pony club show jumping, i wouldnt normally do two days in a row but i had already been entered by my instructor (PC show jumping trainer) so am doing the 2ft7. Hes had a good tea and will have breakfast in the morning so hopefully will give him some energy.
