Would you recommend a haylage balancer or pink power for a horse that has on and off issues with digestion (i.e. quite loose pooh's and a generally wet bum, sorry!!!) there seems no real pattern for it, I'm assuming it's the heylage as his hard feed hasn't changed in years and change in grazing makes no difference, there is also no correlation to stressy periods either. He's well in himself but obviously something isn't 100% right.

It's probably a case of try one and see if it works for your horse. Pink Powder seems to work for many people. The "Happy Tummy" from Fine Fettle Feeds also works for some, but I would try Pink Powder first and go from there.

One of mine gets a bit loose at times, but I reduced his magnesium dose and he improved.

I found the pink powder useless but the haylage balancer worked a treat. also heard good things about protexin gut balancer but haven't tried it yet

I'm not a lover of supplements generally but NAF haylage balancer makes a big difference to my ned!

I also use NAF, its been brilliant for my boy who can suffer with a bit of colic or go to the other extreme and be very loose. I have used it now for a couple of years and touch wood, things have greatly improved.

I've just tried the balancer for a month with my mare who is very loose and squitty. It has made no difference. Neither has yea-sach. I am trying a different batch of haylage now, but after that it will have to be soaked hay, which she hates. It's very frustrating - she used to be fine on haylage, and the other two are okay.
