Right have a bit of a dilemma and need your wonderful thoughts please!!

Ok so I'm working part time in a horse shop and I absolutely love it! Great hours, plenty of time to spend with horses, 10% discount on all my horsey things and a realli nice atmoshphere!

However had an interview for virgin media today. Working in an office cubicle long hours till 8 every night which means alot less time for horses, a job i might not like but on the plus side alot more money and a full time job.

Now what would you do? stay where i am and enjoy my job but never be able to afford things like a car and have any money for the horses.

theres pros and cons to both - im jst confused - what do you think?

TBH I think I'd stick with the job you're in now. You'll spend most of your time there so it's important to enjoy it. I'm in an office and I hate it, especially in winter. I can't ride much after work and only ever in the school, and look forward to weekends when I can ride out for a couple of hours. The way you talk about your job you obviously do love it so I'd stay where I'm happy.

If you can and are managing on your wage, I'd stick with it.

You just have to do what you think is right I'm afraid.

Why did you apply for the job with Virgin media? Do you want to spend the rest of your life working p/t? Where do you live? Do you want to live there for the rest of your life, or will you want to move on at some point? If you don't take the VM job might you regret it in the future?
These are all things to consider when making your decision.
TBH I would love to work p/t in my local tack shop and have more time with the horses but I couldn't possibly afford to, so I shall continue to work at my long hours, stressful but well-paid job which enables me to keep the horses at home, even though I can only ride them at the weekend in winter.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Very true that money doesn't buy happiness but it can make life very nice!

Depends on what you want from your future, I presume at some point you would like enough money to have a house, car, money for horsey stuff, holidays maybe?

Realistically, even with full time work this can be difficult to afford unless you end up with a partner who earns good money.

On the other hand, career changes are pretty common now at all ages so no reason why you couldn't look for a better paid job further down the line.

Would it be an option to continue working part time and go to college to study more? This would give you more qualifications that could lead to a better full time job in the future and still give you the time to do horsey stuff now... there are loads of evening/ part time courses and it might help you decide what type of work you want to do in the future

Good luck!

i'd go for the new job more money is a nesssesity really just because everything is getting so bloody expensive now. i wish you the best of luck whatever you decide x

what about if you stay where you are now and see if you can get a full time job with earlier hour? i've work in riding stables and loved it, even tho not much money and i worked for RBS call centre and hated it. is there no chance of more hours where u currently work?
Good luck whatever you choose x
