Dilemma? quick help me decide!

been desperately seeking land to rent or buy around here but was having no luck, viewed a field up for sale about a 15 minutes drive away but it was pretty poor and needed a lot of money injected to re-do fencing, field shelters etc. In the interim I decided I would move the youngster to a livery as I could turn fatty out with a friends pony for a couple of hours a day. Luckily my mum found us a fab field, with all mod cons, leads directly onto bridleways, rent not bad but about a 15 minute drive away. just getting ready to sign the lease when a lady down the road calls and offers me her paddock, paddock isn't as big as the one we were going to lease but is literally a two minute walk away, she has stables there too if we wanted to use them, has no idea what to charge for rent and seems really easy going! which do I go for? A massive bag of jelly beans for those who help x
 
I was thinking that too, plus I would have someone to ride out with when I back the youngster, can swop and change between her paddock and mine without having to box them anywhere, haven't got to drive to check them, eek!
 
It's always good to have your horses close and if there's stables there then it's the obvious choice for me. I'd say take the closer one.

But i would go for the one further go for the one 15 mins away because the more grazing you have to better and if the grazing is great then at least you will be able to ride alot

I am so undecided, wish I could afford to have both! the hacking around here isn't bad, mostly quiet lanes and a short hack to woods, if they stayed nearer then my friend would look after them when we went away, we would have the choice of three paddocks between two large ponies and two diddies on very restricted grazing so could rotate quite nicely, im going to pop up and have a look at least to see if it could work, the only issue with the 15 min away one is that I don't have anyone to ride out with and with a youngster its not ideal, here my friend can help me when Roo is backed and her daughters pony at 20 is sane and could nanny, the furthest one away has a double field shelter so they could live out 24/7 although there is no reason they couldn't here between three paddocks and stables if needed. When we go to shows there will always be two left together where as at the further paddock the youngster would be left alone whilst we take the boys pony. argggh need a very very large glass on wine!
 
I'd go for the closer one, as then no worry if it snows etc - easy to get to. Plus leaving a youngster alone might prove tricky. And stables are always good to have too.
