Dilemma with DIY livery

You need to sit down with her and discuss this. At the end of the day, this is your business, and she is not playing ball. Even when I am in the depths of depression, I get out of bed to sort my pony. OR I make arrangements to pay someone, yes pay someone to do it for me.

Do not fall for the sympathy card - if you **** your other liveries off by pandering to this woman, they may well leave.

Have to say, I agree, sounds like she has it made.

it would be mine too, that's why I would hate to be a YO, it's really not easy.
Your other liveries will probably be grateful, because even if they don't hate her it can be quite worrying when you've got a situation like that.

What a dilemma. From the horses' point of view, the worst possible thing is for her to move somewhere 'on her own'!

However, it should not be the OP who ends up paying for their neglect. I wouldn't have DIY on my yard for this kind of reason. At least I know that all horses are always cared for and to my standards. I had enough, being a DIY client myself and ending up feeding or turning out horses whose owners couldn't be arsed to get there until lunchtime. Watching those poor horses seeing all the others get fed and turned out etc. I know most DIYers are fabulous owners, but without fail, there was a bad one on every yard I stayed on.
