I'm beginning to wonder if maybe I should loan out my horse. I don't have the amount of time to spend with her as I would like, but with my busy lifestyle she's my only opportunity to relax. Also, she's one of those people-pleasing horses who attach themselves to one person and trust them infinately, so moving her around through lots of owners wouldn't be good for her. I have enough time to care to her basic needs, and she gets a short hack every day, I just don't have the time to school her properly as I would like to. So what do I do?

It sounds like a sharer would be a better option rather than a loan, then you'd still have your horsey fix and the horse wouldn't have to change homes. Oops - cross posted.

I think that this time of year isn't necessarily a good time to make decisions like this as people are a bit weary after a long year, the weather is turning bad, the nights are drawing in and it all seems like a bit much

Sharing is a good idea but someone may put the hard work in over the winter only fir you to want to take back over full time when the days are longer

Plenty of horses do well with just hacking, you can do a lot of schooling on hacks too

Personally I would think long and hard and see that maybe keeping the horse ticking over yourself is not so bad

Don't make any hasty decisions x

If you do just keep hold of the Passport. If they ask just say you will look for it. Just incase they turn out wrong ones and try to sell your horse on.
