hi, i'm interested to hear peoples opinions about Dimaggio, I read on a past post someone saying that they wouldn't use him, I just wondered why?
What do you think of him and his stock? We saw some of his sons in Germany at the Oldenburg licensing, who were very nice and all of which licensed, but we havn't used him ourselves and therefor don't have any first hand experience of his stock.
Thanks

Have not seen any in the flesh, but have seen several do well in Germany of varying ages. I know he was not utilised that much in the UK, and I "believe" this was one of the reasons why he is now stationed in Germany, as the breeders there have used him quite a lot. Stands at Gestuet Vorwerk in Germany.

Dimaggio really does not have the best fore limb conformation and as a progenator he is not that strong.
Saying that however i sat on an amazing mare at the Hanoverian mare grading a couple of years back and she was awsome.
They can be , as i have sat on a few since rather 'hot' and not always in the most helpful way.
if it is movement you are looking for there are beter stallions i think.

Have seen a lot of his stock around here and Im not impressed with any of them. God knows what mares they were out of though because theyve put him to absolutely anything and everything ( cobs, shires the like )
The stock Ive seen are weak looking with poor conformation, offset limbs, and dont move all that great. They take a fairly large stride with their front legs but there is just no real propulsion and power from behind. Im sure that he has produced nice horses from nice mares though.
