Dirty pony pix - help urgently needed for charity!!!

I urgently need either a photo or a cartoon of a horse in the middle of winter - covered in mud, mane in knots, rug all ripped, preferably also clearly loving being in the most impossible mess. This is for a charity appeal for Saddle Up for Spinal Research, who raise funds to do research to mend spinal cord injuries.

We can't pay for it I'm afraid, but you'd have the satisfaction of seeing your picture used and knowing that one day someone will get out of their wheelchair and walk because you helped.

My grey mare, looking extremely innocent in her blue rug, that isnt very blue anymore (it was practically spotless before she went out that day!) and my GREY mare looking very er black :D :p
 
I am in hysterics here and you are giving me a hard choice! I love the one with the rug over the ears but it isn't sharp enough to use in print, unfortunately :( I have been PM'd with two where the horse is also still standing in pools of mud, which adds to the winter blues story really well.

I am going to talk to Isabel tomorrow about using all of your photos and having people vote on who should win a small prize, because I think that would be nice.

Keep them coming folks, it's cheering us all up anyway!
 
Thankyou everyone who responded to my appeal. Lots of lovely pictures of muddy ponies, but we particularly wanted one that emphasized how much work, irritation and expense, a horse is in the middle of winter and Nothing quite fitted the bill. I realised yesterday that I had just thrown out a torn rug myself, so I asked my hunter if he would mind posing and he said he'd be happy to help. To cap it all, the torn rug is in Spinal Research's Saddly Up colours - what do you think?

We dug some dead shrub off the muck heap and I stuck it under his headcollar. Isn't he the kindest horse to do that without making any fuss about it? His name is Radar, because of his big swivelling ears :)
