Dirty stinky boys!

I don’t imagine they ever will cock, Zak never did, Bear extremely rarely does so they’ve no-one to copy.

Mitch’s belly hair is forever crinkly! ? He is regularly wiped down. Goose isn’t as bad.

Mine cocks his leg so high I often think he’ll fall over ??. He’s not quite six months. He’s cocked it for about a month already. But small breeds must find it easier I would imagine. Of course he thinks he’s a giant breed as do all JRTs. ?‍♀️?

Mine are hitting their belly, Goose especially is quite low to the ground. Possibly not helped by extra long willy hair, presumably there to help stop an infection? As my dad would say, there’s some good eating on those legs!

I don’t know if it’s related to neutering. I think usually they cock before the recommended age for neutering. Jake and Brig were cocking early on, way before the age for that. They were entire. Zak and Bear never cocked, despite having Brig as an example.

Every day is a learning day ?

Fortunately our long dog loves water and standing up to his belly in a fast flowing stream gets him smelling sweet again.

Bar an accidental back end in the pond, they haven’t bee in water yet, although we’ve used the hot tub (clean water, no chemicals) for a bit of hydrotherapy! ? I can’t wait to go to the river with them!

Oh euw! Our lad is 11, and has never cocked. Neutered around 9 months by the rescue centre we got him from. He would cock briefly when regularly around an older border collie playmate, but I guess the novelty of showing off was too much work when he got home!

The only one of mine not to cock his leg had hip dysplasia, he stretched his body forward to pee.

I assumed it was because it was painful for him to balance on one back leg.
