A BLAGDON horse rider who suffers from a severely curved spine and chronic fatigue has been selected to ride in a regional show.

Britta Francis, of Rhodyate, has to take a cocktail of 100 different drugs every day to cope with the pain caused by her conditions but since discovering horse riding as a therapy she has been selected to compete in a prestigious dressage event.

What??? 120 people have viwed this post and nobody has commented.

A round of applause please for this very brave and commited rider. Haven't we all had days when we could ride but couldn't be bothered? If Britta had her full health she would be riding every day and beating us silly in competions...we should never take our riding for granted.

Go Britta!!! Well done girl!

Good luck Britta - show them how it's done

Sadly the article didn't come up when I followed the link (just a blank page). But I'm assumign she must ride with her local RDA? I have to say the RDA, something which I have been completely ignorant about in the past, has over the past couple of years earned a huge amount of respect from me, mainly as one of my good pals is an RDA instructor of over 25 years. Some of the stories of her clients, their success, and their issues never cease to amaze me.

And if she's managed this without the RDA's assistance, then I am even more amazed....
