I am looking for a way to lift adults on and off horses. The disability is to do with the hips and once on the horse they can't lift their leg over to dismount so need some system of lifting them under their arms into the air and swinging them down to the floor. Does anyone know of such a system and where to find it.
Thanks

I don't know of any system designed for use with horses, but could an ordinary hoist be adapted? Doesn't lift under the arms (would have thought that this would not have been a good idea anyway) Hoists use slings, which may be difficult to arrange on a saddle.

Was thinking of something like a hoist that fits under the arms like they use in rescue helicopters as this would not get in the way of the saddle. But cant seem to find any other device like a seesaw with a counter weight that would fit under a persons arms and you could just lift and swing into place. Anyone seen anything like this?
